High Pivot LTS Suspension
The Force Carbon Elite uses GT's High Pivot LTS suspension system, which positions the main suspension pivot higher on the frame and incorporates an idler pulley into the drivetrain path. This configuration is intended to maintain controlled suspension performance as the rear wheel moves through its travel.
The result is a bike designed to remain composed when riding through rough, high-impact terrain while maintaining traction over technical sections. The 160mm rear suspension works with the 170mm fork to give the bike a substantial amount of travel for enduro riding.
Adjustable Rear End
One of the useful features of the Force platform is its two-position rear dropout adjustment. The adjustment changes the chainstay length and wheelbase, allowing riders to choose between a more compact setup or a longer, more stable configuration.
The listed chainstay options are approximately 435mm or 445mm, while the wheelbase varies according to frame size and dropout position.
Suspension Components
At the front, the RockShox Yari RC provides 170mm of travel and uses an air spring with Motion Control damping. Its 15 x 110mm thru-axle and 42mm offset are designed for the demands of aggressive trail and enduro riding.
The rear uses a RockShox Super Deluxe Select R shock measuring 230 x 65mm. Together, the fork and shock give the Force Carbon Elite the long-travel suspension needed for steep and technical terrain.
Drivetrain and Braking
The SRAM SX Eagle 1 x 12-speed drivetrain provides a broad 11–50T cassette range. The 30T Truvativ Descendant 6K crankset gives the bike a useful climbing gear while retaining enough range for faster trail sections.
For braking, the bike uses TRP Slate EVO T4 hydraulic disc brakes with large 203mm rotors front and rear. This setup is suited to the repeated braking demands associated with long, steep descents.
