Pivot LES SL Pro X0 Eagle Transmission Mountain Bike – Black Sunset
The Pivot LES SL Pro X0 Eagle Transmission is a premium cross-country hardtail built for riders who prioritize low weight, efficient power transfer, and precise handling. Its lightweight LES SL carbon frame is paired with a 100 mm Fox Factory Stepcast 32 fork and SRAM's electronic X0 Eagle Transmission drivetrain, creating a race-focused package for fast climbs, technical XC courses, and long-distance trail riding.
Finished in Black Sunset, this build combines a featherweight carbon chassis with a carefully selected mix of SRAM, DT Swiss, Maxxis, and Phoenix components. The result is a responsive 29-inch hardtail designed to accelerate quickly while maintaining the stability and control needed on modern XC terrain.

Lightweight LES SL Carbon Frame
The LES SL frame is the centerpiece of this build. Pivot developed it around the goal of creating an exceptionally light production hardtail without sacrificing the stiffness and control expected from a race bike.
Pivot lists the frame at approximately 800 grams for a medium, making it one of the major contributors to the bike's low overall weight. The carbon construction is designed to balance stiffness for efficient pedaling with enough vertical compliance to help the bike remain composed over uneven XC terrain.
The frame also incorporates Pivot's Cable Port System for internal routing, compatibility with the UDH rear derailleur hanger, and mounting provisions for the Pivot Dock Tool System.
Fox Factory Stepcast 32 Fork
Up front, the LES SL Pro X0 uses a Fox Factory Stepcast 32 29-inch fork with 100 mm of travel and a 44 mm offset.
The FIT4-equipped fork is designed for cross-country performance, giving riders suspension control over roots, rocks, braking bumps, and other trail irregularities while maintaining the efficient feel expected from a lightweight race hardtail. The remote control allows the rider to adjust the fork's compression setting without removing a hand from the handlebar.
SRAM X0 Eagle Transmission 1×12 Drivetrain
The drivetrain is built around SRAM's X0 Eagle Transmission electronic 12-speed system. The wireless AXS Pod Controller provides shifting input while the X0 rear derailleur manages gear changes across the wide-range cassette.
The 10–52T SRAM X0 1295 Eagle Transmission cassette gives the bike a broad gear range for steep climbs while retaining closely spaced gears for maintaining speed across faster XC sections. A 34T SRAM X0 Eagle DUB chainring completes the 1×12 setup.

SRAM Level TLM Hydraulic Brakes
Stopping duties are handled by SRAM Level TLM 2-piston hydraulic disc brakes. This lightweight XC-oriented braking system is designed to provide controlled modulation without adding the bulk associated with heavier trail and enduro brake systems.
The build uses 160 mm CenterLine CenterLock rotors, according to the model-specific build listing.
DT Swiss XR1700 Wheelset
The LES SL Pro X0 is equipped with DT Swiss XR1700 wheels paired with DT Swiss 350 hubs and a 36T Star Ratchet freehub system.
The wheelset uses Boost spacing with a 15 × 110 mm front axle and 12 × 148 mm rear axle, providing a stiff and dependable platform for cross-country riding.
Maxxis Ardent Race Tires
The bike uses Maxxis Ardent Race 29 × 2.2-inch tires with tubeless-ready construction, EXO casing, and a 120 TPI specification.
This tire choice is well suited to XC riding, balancing low rolling resistance with enough tread and casing support for roots, rocks, loose corners, and technical singletrack.
Race-Focused Cockpit
The cockpit uses a Phoenix Team Flat Carbon 760 mm handlebar with a Phoenix Team XC/Trail stem. The relatively wide carbon handlebar provides a stable steering platform while keeping the cockpit focused on XC efficiency.
The bike also uses Phoenix Factory Lock-On grips, a Phoenix Team Carbon rigid seatpost, and a Phoenix WTB Pro Volt narrow-width saddle.
Modern Cross-Country Geometry
The LES SL is designed around modern XC geometry rather than the steeper, more traditional geometry found on older race hardtails. Pivot describes the platform as using longer reaches and a slacker head angle to increase capability while retaining the efficient characteristics required for racing.
The geometry is size-specific, with the frame offered in XS, S, M, L, and XL. Riders should select the frame size based on Pivot's current size chart and individual fit requirements rather than assuming one geometry measurement applies to every size.

Why Choose the LES SL Pro X0?
The appeal of this build is its straightforward performance philosophy: keep the bike light, efficient, and responsive while giving it enough capability for modern XC courses.
The lightweight LES SL carbon frame minimizes unnecessary mass, while the 100 mm Fox Factory fork adds front-end control. SRAM's X0 Eagle Transmission provides wide-range electronic shifting, and the DT Swiss/Maxxis wheel and tire combination keeps the bike ready for fast cross-country riding.
