Metabo PFM 17 Variable Speed Weld Shaver with Non Locking PaddleThe Metabo PFM 17 Variable Speed Weld Shaver Tool is designed and manufactured in Germany for fast, clean, and safe removal of weld beads up to 9/16" wide and 3/8" high. The patented One-Touch controller allows for tool-free depth adjustment in 0.1 mm/0.004 in. increments to achieve superior results. The cutter head features three indexable carbide inserts that can be simply and easily switched as needed. Heat produced during the removal process transfers to small metal chips rather than the base material to minimize damage and stress to the work piece. The tool is powered by a 14.5 Amp motor equipped with Electronic Speed Stabilization to maintain speed even under load, as well as Electronic Soft Start. A Variable Speed dial allows for adjustment from 8,000-12,600 RPM for working in a variety of materials. The tool is designed with a rear rat-tail handle for comfort and control with a non-locking paddle switch that shuts off the motor when released. An adjustable loop handle on the front of the tool allows for working in multiple positions. The tool includes a 19.7” (50cm) Magnetic Guide Rail for increased control during weld bead removal.
