Metabo 1-3/4in SDS-MAX BL Rotary HammerThe Metabo KHEV 8-45 BL, 1-3/4" SDS-MAX Brushless Combination Rotary Hammer is designed for maximum productivity, durability and safety for extreme duty use on construction and industrial work sites. The high efficiency 14.8 Amp AC Brushless motor is encapsulated to protect against harsh dust particles while delivering fast drilling and powerful chiseling in the toughest concrete and masonry applications. Metabo VibraTech (MVT) Technology provides ultimate user comfort with multiple levels of vibration protection including MVT active vibration control utilizing an internal counterbalance system to absorb impact from the tool, plus decoupled MVT vibration absorbing rear and side handles. The Metabo S-Automatic mechanical safety slip clutch disengages the drill in the event that a bit binds or jams to help prevent kick-back. A large, easy to use selector switch allows two modes of operation: hammer drilling and chiseling. The Metabo VTC electronics package provides speed stabilization, thermal overload protection, soft start, and power interruption protection. The tool also features a heavy duty die-cast aluminum gear-housing, a locking switch for use in chiseling mode only, and push-button speed/impact energy reduction for softer materials and to prevent spalling when drilling through-holes. For compliance with OSHA Respirable Crystalline Silica standards or Table 1 compliance standards, Metabo’s full line of concrete tools are designed for use with Metabo dust extraction attachments and vacuums. When used correctly they meet or exceed OSHA silica standards.
