Makita 18V X2 (36V) LXT 9 1/4 Circular Saw with Guide Rail Compatible Base (Bare Tool)The Makita 18 Volt X2 (36 Volt) LXT® Brushless Cordless Circular Saw offers a large cutting capacity of 3-3/8" at 90 degrees for a variety of applications such as ripping and crossing. The circular saw provides a beveling capacity of 1 to 60 degrees with positive stops at 22.5 degrees and 45 degrees. The base of the saw works well with a guide rail without any requirement of an adaptor to get perfect or straight bevel cuts. The saw features a brushless motor that is controlled electronically to match the torque and RPM to the application, operating at a speed of 4500 RPM. The saw also comes with an Auto-Start Wireless System (AWS) that uses Bluetooth technology to better communicate between the tool and the dust extractor. An automatic speed change mechanism helps in adjusting the speed and torque while operating. The electric brake helps increase the planer's productivity,and the soft start mechanism prevents sudden initiation for smooth start-ups. Star Protection technology helps in preventing overheating, over-discharging and overloading of the battery. Extreme Protection technology prevents the accumulation of dust and water. The saw base consists of a slide lever that helps in engaging the guide rail for bevel cutting stability. The all-metal rip fence can be installed quickly and facilitates ripping at uniform widths. Dual LED lights illuminate the work space, and the three-stage LED gauge denotes the battery's charging status. Additional features include a flat motor construction for more stability when changing the blade, an integral dust blower that prevents dust accumulation on the work surface, and a blade guard that can be adjusted quickly and offers more blade visibility.
