Cordless tool features 6-1/2 Inch dia blade and 5/8 Inch arbor. Compact saw equipped with Automatic Speed Change™ technology aids to adjust cutting speed as well as torque for optimum performance under load. The LXT® technology delivers up to 270 cuts per charge in 1/2 Inch x 3-1/2 Inch baseboard using one 6.0 Amp-hour battery (battery not included). Miter saw features efficient BL™ brushless motor for up to 50% longer run time, increased power/speed and longer tool life with no brushes to replace. It has mini sub-fence to render wide support when performing vertical cuts or left bevel cuts. Saw has electric brake for maximum productivity and built-in LED light to illuminate the work area. Tool has built-in laser to clearly indicate line-of-cut whether or not blade is turning, On/Off switch and micro-adjustments for precise cutting "left-of-blade" or "right-of-blade". The 3-stage LED gauge on the tool aids in indicating battery charge levels. It is great for cutting a variety of materials like wood and aluminum extrusion. The Star Protection Computer Controls™ technology allows the Star Protection-equipped tool and battery to exchange data in real time and monitor conditions while in use to safeguard against over-loading, over-discharging and over-heating.
