Horizontal and Vertical Operation
The HV2R can establish a self-leveling horizontal laser plane for elevation and level reference work. When placed in the vertical position, it projects a vertical plane and provides a top point that can be used for alignment and plumb-related tasks.
This two-orientation design makes the HV2R useful for a variety of construction stages without requiring separate horizontal and vertical rotary lasers.
Accurate Self-Leveling Performance
The HV2R is rated at ≤2.2 mm at 30 meters, equivalent to approximately 3/32 inch at 100 feet. Its automatic leveling range extends to ±5 degrees, helping the laser establish a level reference even when the initial setup is not perfectly flat.
For applications requiring a controlled incline rather than a level plane, the HV2R also provides a ±5° manual slope range.
Extended Range with a Detector
Without a detector, the HV2R has a working range of up to approximately 100 feet (30 meters). When paired with the compatible PLS XLD rotary laser detector, the working range increases to approximately 1,000 feet (300 meters).
The detector is not included with this bare-tool configuration, so it must be purchased separately if long-range outdoor operation is required.
