The PLS HV2G Green Rotary System is a professional horizontal and vertical rotary laser designed for accurate leveling, alignment, elevation, slope, and layout work. Green Laser for Clear Jobsite Reference
The HV2G uses a green laser beam to create its horizontal or vertical reference plane. Green laser light is generally easier to see than red laser light in many indoor working conditions, making it useful when the reference line needs to be readily visible.
The laser can operate horizontally for leveling and elevation work or vertically for alignment applications. When positioned vertically, it also provides an upward point that can assist with layout and alignment tasks.
Accurate Self-Leveling and Manual Slope
The HV2G combines automatic leveling with manual slope functionality. Its ±5° self-leveling range helps the unit establish a level reference when the initial setup is slightly out of level.
For applications that require a deliberate grade rather than a level plane, the ±5° manual slope range allows the operator to establish a controlled incline. This makes the HV2G useful for applications ranging from foundation work to grading and drainage layout.
Long-Range Layout with XLD Detector
The HV2G has a working range of up to 100 feet without the XLD detector. When used with the compatible PLS XLD rotary laser detector, the working range increases to as much as 300 meters or 1,000 feet in radius.
The detector is especially useful for exterior work where ambient light can make a laser reference difficult to see directly.
Built for Professional Jobsite Use
The HV2G is designed with a rugged housing and simplified controls for everyday construction use. Its IP67 rating provides protection against dust and water immersion up to 1 meter for up to 30 minutes, while the 1-meter drop test adds protection against common jobsite mishaps.
The operating temperature range of -20°C to 50°C (-4°F to 122°F) also allows the laser to be used across a broad range of working conditions.
Complete System Configuration
The HV2G SYS is the system configuration rather than the bare-tool or larger kit version. It includes the laser and essential accessories for detector-assisted layout, including the XLD detector and clamp, remote control, rechargeable battery system, wall/ceiling mount, and green reflective target.
The system does not include the elevating tripod and 16-foot grade rod supplied with the HV2G KIT. PLS identifies the HV2G SYS as part number 5022547.
