The Next Wave CNC SHARK SD110 is a compact desktop CNC machine designed for workshops that want full CNC capabilities without sacrificing valuable floor or workbench space. Compact Design for Smaller Workshops
The SD110 is built around a compact footprint, making it a practical choice for users who do not have room for a full-size CNC machine. Its 12" x 18" table provides enough workspace for a wide range of woodworking, engraving, and small-part projects while keeping the machine easy to integrate into a workbench setup.
The machine also allows the Y-axis to extend approximately 1 inch beyond the fixed bed, which can be useful when machining the ends of longer boards for applications such as box joints and tenons.
Flexible Workholding
An interlocking slotted aluminum table provides numerous clamping positions. This allows users to adapt the workholding setup to different workpiece sizes and shapes rather than being restricted to a fixed set of mounting points.
Two hold-down clamps are included to help secure material during operation.
Touchscreen Pendant Control
The included color LCD touchscreen pendant gives users a convenient way to operate the CNC machine. Projects can be designed using the included VCarve Desktop software and transferred to the machine through a USB drive, allowing the SD110 to be operated without having a computer directly connected throughout the machining process.
For users who prefer computer-based operation, the machine can also be controlled through Ready2Control.
Virtual Zero Unlimited
When used with a computer, Ready2Control provides access to Virtual Zero Unlimited, Next Wave CNC's surface-mapping technology.
The system can take multiple reference points across a workpiece and use that information to adjust the G-code to follow the actual surface. This is particularly useful when working with material that is bowed, warped, curved, or otherwise uneven, helping maintain a more consistent cutting depth.
