Lightweight Forged Aluminum Die Heads
One of the major advantages of this kit is its set of Compact ALLOY NPT forged aluminum die heads.
The included heads are designed for:
1/2" NPT – 48-36-1307
3/4" NPT – 48-36-1308
1" NPT – 48-36-1309
1-1/4" NPT – 48-36-1310
Milwaukee manufactures these compact die heads from forged aluminum and describes them as up to 50% lighter than competitive die heads. Larger slots provide improved visibility during threading, while the smooth face caps offer a more comfortable area for hand placement.
The die heads are also backed by Milwaukee's Limited Lifetime Warranty for the die head itself.
AUTOSTOP™ Kickback Control
Threading pipe can generate substantial torque, particularly when the die encounters resistance. The M18 FUEL™ Compact Pipe Threader incorporates AUTOSTOP™ technology, which is designed to sense severe kickback and automatically shut the tool down.
