The Pelican 1660 Protector Case is a large-capacity protective transport case built for carrying valuable, sensitive, and mission-critical equipment through demanding environments. The case uses a polypropylene body with a solid-wall/open-cell construction that balances durability and weight. Pelican also equips the case with a silicone O-ring sealing system and an automatic purge valve designed to equalize pressure while helping prevent water from entering the case.
Customizable Pick N Pluck Foam
The included foam configuration makes it easier to create a protective interior tailored to the equipment being carried. The three-level Pick N Pluck foam can be shaped by removing individual foam sections, creating cavities around the equipment.
The lid features convoluted foam to provide additional cushioning when the case is closed. This arrangement is especially useful when equipment needs to remain securely positioned rather than moving freely inside a large empty case.
Easy to Move Despite Its Size
A case this large needs an effective mobility system. The 1660 is equipped with four polyurethane wheels with stainless-steel bearings, allowing it to be rolled across suitable surfaces instead of being carried.
