How the Velocity SRL Works
The Velocity SRL is designed to connect to an appropriate anchorage while the worker moves through the protected work area. As the worker moves away from the anchorage, the cable extends from the housing. When the worker moves closer, the cable automatically retracts.
This continuous adjustment helps reduce excess slack and provides greater mobility than a conventional fixed-length lanyard. If a fall occurs while the equipment is properly installed and used within its approved configuration, the internal fall-arrest mechanism is designed to engage and arrest the fall according to the equipment's rated performance.
