Three Augers for Different Jobs
3-Inch x 24-Inch Extended Bulb Auger
The smaller auger is designed for planting bulbs and small potted plants. Its extended 24-inch length allows you to drill deeper into the soil while reducing the need to repeatedly bend or kneel.
It can also be useful for small landscaping structures, beach umbrellas, utility work, and boring beneath sidewalks for certain irrigation or electrical projects.
5-Inch x 28-Inch Quart Pot Plant Auger
The 5-inch auger provides a larger planting hole for quart-sized bedding plants and smaller shrubs. Its 28-inch length is designed to make repetitive planting more efficient while helping keep the operator upright.
It can also be used for bulb planting and installing smaller fence posts. The standard version is intended for most general landscaping soils; for extremely rocky or dense clay conditions, Power Planter offers separate heavy-duty versions.
7-Inch x 28-Inch Gallon Pot & Post Hole Auger
For larger planting and structural work, the 7-inch auger creates holes suitable for gallon-sized plants and can be used for post-hole applications. Power Planter also lists uses such as larger plantings, 4x4 fence posts, deck and pergola support posts, and irrigation or drainage projects.
DEWALT 60V MAX Power
The included DEWALT DCD130T1 60V MAX Mixer/Drill with E-Clutch provides the cordless drive system for the augers. Its brushless motor is designed for demanding digging and mixing applications, while the three-position side handle gives the operator additional leverage and control.
The E-Clutch system is designed to detect reactionary torque caused by a bind-up or stall and reduce tool speed to help the user regain control. The drill is compatible with Power Planter augers ranging from 2 to 9 inches in diameter.
Convenient Storage
The bundle includes a TOUGHSYSTEM 2.0 DS400 Extra Large Tool Box. The case is rated IP65 for dust and water resistance and has a stated 110-pound load capacity, while its removable inner tray helps keep accessories organized.
