Custom Tange Chromoly Frame
The heart of the Eccentric Cromo 29 is its custom-drawn Tange Eccentric 4130 chromoly frame. The tubing is shaped specifically for the Eccentric platform and incorporates built-in gussets around key areas of the frame.
Despite being made from steel, the frame is designed to keep weight under control. NS Bikes lists the frame at approximately 2.59kg for a medium size, without the axle.
The steel construction also gives the bike the distinctive ride quality associated with chromoly hardtails while providing a robust platform for aggressive trail use.
Aggressive 29er Geometry
The Eccentric Cromo 29 uses a deliberately aggressive geometry. A 65° head angle gives the bike a stable front end when descending, while the 74° effective seat angle helps position the rider effectively for climbing.
