Harrington Hoist and Crane 1500 Lbs Load Capacity Lift Lever Chain Hoist 15 Ft.
The Harrington Hoist and Crane 1500 Lbs Load Capacity Lift Lever Chain Hoist 15 Ft. is a compact manual lifting solution designed for controlled raising, lowering, positioning, and tensioning of loads in industrial, construction, maintenance, and general material-handling applications. With a 1,500-lb. rated load capacity and 15-foot standard lift, it provides useful lifting reach without requiring electrical power.
The lever-operated design gives the user direct mechanical control over the load, making this type of hoist useful in locations where portability, simple operation, and independence from an electrical power source are important.
Key Features
1,500-Lb. Load Capacity: Designed for lifting loads up to 750 kg within the manufacturer's approved operating conditions.
15-Ft. Lift: Provides substantial vertical lifting range for many maintenance and material-handling tasks.
Manual Lever Operation: Allows controlled lifting and lowering without electricity or compressed air.
Compact Design: Suitable for applications where a portable lifting device is preferred.
Mechanical Load Control: Provides precise incremental movement for positioning and tensioning tasks.
Industrial Application: Designed for professional material-handling, maintenance, construction, and installation work.
Portable Operation: Can be used in locations where powered lifting equipment is unavailable or impractical.

Manual Lever Operation
Unlike an electric chain hoist, a lever chain hoist is operated manually. Moving the lever rotates the internal gearing and lifting mechanism, allowing the operator to raise or lower the connected load in a controlled manner.
This makes the hoist useful for remote work areas, maintenance locations, installation projects, and other applications where electrical power is unavailable or where a compact manual lifting device is preferred.
15-Foot Lift Capacity
With a 15-foot lift, the hoist provides enough chain travel for many vertical lifting applications. The rated 1,500-lb. capacity makes it appropriate for moving moderate-weight equipment, components, machinery, and materials when the load falls within the hoist's approved rating.
The rated capacity should never be exceeded, and the actual lifting configuration must account for the supporting structure, attachment points, load characteristics, and applicable lifting requirements.
Typical Applications
The Harrington 1,500-lb. Lever Chain Hoist can be used for compatible applications including:
Equipment installation
Machinery positioning
Industrial maintenance
Construction work
Mechanical assembly
Material positioning
Tensioning applications
General lifting and rigging operations
Benefits
No electricity required: Operates entirely through manual lever action.
1,500-lb. capacity: Handles a broad range of moderate-duty lifting tasks.
15-ft. lift: Provides useful vertical reach for elevated positioning.
Portable format: Convenient for applications requiring movable lifting equipment.
Controlled positioning: Manual gearing allows measured load movement.
Versatile use: Suitable for construction, maintenance, installation, and industrial applications.
Proper Rigging and Installation
A lever hoist is only as safe as the structure and rigging supporting it. Before lifting, verify that the overhead anchor point, beam, sling, shackle, hook, or other supporting equipment is appropriately rated for the intended load and configuration.
Position the hoist directly above the load whenever possible. Avoid side loading, shock loading, dragging loads, or lifting loads that are unstable or improperly attached.
Important Safety Information
Always inspect the hoist, load chain, hooks, latch mechanisms, lever, and other components before use. Do not operate the hoist if components are damaged, excessively worn, deformed, corroded, or otherwise compromised.
Never exceed the 1,500-lb. rated capacity. Keep personnel away from suspended loads, and never use the hoist to lift or transport people unless the equipment is specifically designed, rated, and approved for that purpose.
Follow Harrington Hoist and Crane's manufacturer's instructions, applicable rigging practices, OSHA requirements, and site-specific lifting procedures. A qualified person should evaluate the lifting arrangement before handling critical or unusually configured loads.
