Compact Storage Without a Large Footprint
The Piggyback configuration is designed for facilities that need additional flammable-liquid storage but have limited floor space. Measuring 24 inches high, 43 inches wide, and 18 inches deep, the cabinet can be placed independently on a suitable benchtop or stacked on compatible Justrite 30- or 45-gallon safety cabinets.
With an optional Model 25950 wall hanger assembly, it can also be configured for wall mounting.
Durable Double-Wall Steel Construction
The cabinet is manufactured from 18-gauge (1 mm) steel using fully welded double-wall construction. A 1.5-inch insulating air space between the walls contributes to its fire-resistant design.
Unlike riveted construction, the welded body helps maintain the cabinet's shape over time while reducing gaps in the enclosure. The lead-free epoxy/polyester powder-coat finish provides chemical resistance and helps minimize corrosion caused by humidity and normal workplace exposure.
Self-Closing Door System
The two doors feature a concealed self-closing mechanism, allowing the cabinet to provide unobstructed access to its shelf while keeping the closing mechanism protected.
Under normal conditions, the doors can be opened to 180 degrees. The self-closing system uses a fusible link that melts at approximately 165°F (74°C) during fire conditions. This releases the mechanism, allowing the doors to close and latch automatically.
A three-point stainless-steel bullet latching system provides positive closure once the doors are shut.
Adjustable SpillSlope® Shelf
The included SpillSlope® galvanized-steel shelf provides an organized storage level for containers. It can be adjusted in 3-inch increments, allowing the available space to be configured around different container sizes.
The shelf is slightly sloped to direct spilled liquid toward the rear and bottom of the cabinet. It has a 350-pound safe allowable load capacity when the weight is evenly distributed.
Built-In Spill Containment
A 2-inch leakproof sump at the bottom of the cabinet provides secondary containment for leaks and accidental spills. The SpillSlope® shelf works with the sump by directing liquid away from the storage surface and toward the containment area.
This design helps keep accidental spills contained within the cabinet rather than allowing them to immediately spread across the surrounding work surface.
