How It Works
The SRL is designed to remain connected to an appropriate anchorage while the worker moves throughout the protected work area. As the worker moves away from the anchorage, the cable extends from the housing. When the worker moves closer, the cable retracts automatically.
This continuous adjustment helps minimize excess slack and provides a more controlled connection than a conventional fixed-length lifeline. In the event of a fall within an approved system configuration, the internal fall-arrest mechanism is designed to engage and arrest the fall according to the equipment's rated performance.
